FIRST DIGITAL CAMERA

About to buy my first dig. cam. any recommendations much appreciated. Also
advice on memory size. I need a robust, compact, reasonable quality cam. all
bells and whistles not required. Impressed by the spec. of the Olympus
MUJ300.

Have you looked at the Kodak LS443 has many options and you can get
additional lenses. You can get at office Max for $299.00 this week. I took
Office Max's add to fry's electronics and they matched the price.

Olympus cameras are great and affordable. You should also look at Canon and
Nikon. My favorite is Nikon! :) I have an older Olympus and I don't even
have to use the software they provide. When I plug it into my PC it
downloads the images on it's own. You probably want to start with a simple,
point & shoot camera. The "D" or Camedia series, also the Stylus cameras are
great. Get a 32-Mb or bigger mem card with it. I wish I could afford what I

My first Digital camera was a gift. A Kodak DX 3215 , 2 megapixels Great
point and shoot camera. I like the idea of the camera dock. I took and trip
to Spain and Portugal last year. Downloaded all photos from this camera and
my 35mm. to Snapfish. the only way people could tell which photos were from
the digital was from the date stamp on the digital camera. Since then I've
got the DX 6440, $399 with dock and 64 mb memory card from Staples 4
megapixel and 4x optical zoom. digital zoom are garbage. 3 megapixels and
a zoom optical lenses should be plenty for a first camera.
