Any courses on digital photography?

I could use some lessons on digital photography. I do know the basics but
the present day digital cameras offer so many options that I feel a course
would help me a great deal rather than ploughing through the manual and
learning everything by traial and error. I recently bought a Nikon Coolpix
5700.

Has anyone taken a course? If so, was it helpful?
