Just wondering what everybody uses to remove redeye. have used u-lead
express but didn't like the job it did.

Would prefer shareware, but will consider others. Any suggestions would be
much appreciated.

I admit red eye removal using each pixel is rather tiresome. I just use the
transform tool and deform the subjects nose. When this is done correctly it
sure as heck takes the viewers eye away from the red eye problem.

Cheers,
Ed

You'll find having the subject face the other way helps too......:)

I could not find a way in paint shop pro (8) to remove red eye except the
option to paint a new eye over it ... (thats what it has), on the other hand
PhotoImpact has a pen, that overwrites only on red surfaces, thus u can mark
over the red eyes, without damaging the surounding area ... neat and
simple...

Maybe so with Paint Shop Pro 8.0, but is younger brother, Paint Shop Photo
Album (Same as Dell Image Expert) has a one-click red eye removal. Still,
what you say about PhotoImpact sounds well so intuitive and neat. Wish other
software would use that idea. Maybe in PSP 8.0 we could select the red
color, using a circular selector and then replace with black....have not
tried it.

In PSP, use the circular selection tool, select the pupil (pupil only,
not iris), choose color correction, correction by hue, saturation,
color, and move saturation control down to -100.

Or you could just use PSP's red-eye removal tool.

Dave, I use Adobe ActiveShare, you just select the eye/eyes with the cursor
selector, and with a click they're gone.

I use PaintShop Pro. Removing red-eye is a breeze. Select the eye and
click. That's all there is to it. In addition, it lets you select the
desired eye color for a natural look. PSP is a truly amazing wonderful
program. Highly recommended.

Adobe photoshop album works the best...just square off the eye area
and it'll remove the red. Even squaring off both eyes works. Much
better than psp actually replacing the eye. What's odd is that I like
Adobe Elements 2.0 for everything else digitally, but it doesn't have
the same red-eye removal as photoshop album. So I keep both handy.

Sounds like the same tool they use in Adobe Photoalbum, but not in
Elements 2.0.
