me:
a) I like the 14th Angel: Zeruel, DUDE that guy is a TANK! a MEATAXE even,
and his face looks like a cross between the Scream mask, and Ultron (from
the Marvel comic: Avengers). OK, I like to call him papercut for obvious
reasons. but any angel that can blast through 18 layers of shielding in one
hit is cool in my books. he can attack with his appendages as well as doin
the cross explosion thing!
b) favorite eva......... well of course it's gonna be eva-01, the colour
scheme on that thing is awesome! purple and green, and apart from all the
destiny it has, i reckon it makes a cool mummy (pun intended) when you see
it's face all bandaged up... I wonder if brendan Fraisier wouldve stood a
chance up against that one :D.
c) favorite battle would definately be the synchronisation battle with
Israfel. dude, just watch the evas move like ballet dancers with the music!
also I love it in the start when Asuka just chops it straight in half, (and
of course the images of the two upside down buried evas)
d) Favorite episode? hmm, Id say its a close call between episode 16 where
Shinji tears out of the shadow Leliel, thats an excellent scene, episode 22,
when Arael starts the music i had to stifle a laugh, Man I love the
Hallelujah chorus. and episode 26 (of the TV series) where they have the
light anime treatment and the school scene. that was the only thing that
made me feel good about the ending of the TV series.

Disaster

A) Tabris, because he's more human then we are and has the capacity to see
beyond his own goals.
B) I liked Unit 00. More Mystery and Rei piloted it! :P
C) My favorite battle would have to be either the fight between Unit 01
and Unit 02 in the end of the TV series. I enjoyed that because the Eva's
move faster then Angel's so you have the fast pace of the action which is
only enhanced when you realize that it's a giant knife fight, the music
helped a lot too. Otherwise I like Unit 02 versus the MP's and basically
Auska's return to sanity and her realization of her world. Kind of like
waking up to realize you can kick ass, then doing so cause yer really
really mad.
D) My favorite TV episode would have to be the last one. The mind twisting
is great to work through and that alternate world really just appeal to
me.

Hello, all. :) I'm new here, and have decided to introduce myself with
something semi-worthwhile--a post.
A) Angel
Easy. Tabris, aka Kaworu, for so many reasons. I always like to
speculate on what goes on inside his head, what makes him act the way
he does. He may be a living ideal in some ways, but I also see him as
a thinking, motivated character. I also see Tabris as individualistic,
deciding to let the human race live, even though it goes against his
ingrained desire to return to Adam, and I value such a trait.
Runners-up:
Zeruel, because I love his gaping skull-face and silver-paper arms.
It's a creative, creepy look.
Sachiel: Again, for purely aesthetic reasons.
B)EVA
Evangelion 01. I love its color scheme and overal look, and because I
like Shinji, I can appreciate its maternal protectiveness. :)
C)Battle
I'd have to say it's even between Dummy Plug Unit 01 vs. infected Unit
03, Unit 01 vs. Zeruel, Unit 01 and Unit 02 vs Israfel, and Unit 02 vs
Units 5-13. All of these battles were intense, exciting and creative,
using techniques not done before, at least to me. The first battle I
mentioned also has emotional power as well, with Shinji screaming for
Gendo to stop Unit 01 as it tears Unit 03 apart.
D) Episodes
I like every episode of EVA to some degree, but my primary choices are
1, 3, 9, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, and 26. I enjoy episodes that
give me a lot of fodder for character analysis, or at least do
something interesting visually.

Angel: Armisael. Giant monsters that smash things are a dime a dozen, but
Armisael just floats as a beautiful, terrifying ring of light in the sky, until
he becomes part of you.
Eva: Unit 00. This is the only Eva I felt sorry for. You have to feel sorry for
it when it writhes in torment in its first start-up test. Plus you have to pity
a cyclops (it's a wonder it didn't keep running into things). Then its pilot
kills it.
Battle: Unit 02 vs. the JSSDF, then the Eva series. Hands down. I never thought
violence could be so beautiful. Somehow, with the way the Evas move, you just
get a sense of how massive they are, and how much force they smash each other
with.
Episode: 24. It's all Shinji's pathos, straight up (hehe). This is the episode
with which I was introduced to Eva. 26' is my second choice, on aesthetics.
