Well despite the drought low water levels, surprisingly good in the
side canyons early AM. I went to Wahweap as my starter knowing that
operations were fully intact.
I was a bit early for the bass spawn, but they are moving to the
shallows and nesting, and top water noisemakers and even jigs worked
ok. Nothing trophy, but plenty of tinfoil roaster heaven.
No stripers this go, that was a bummer.
But oh the sunsets and the driftwood fires. The debris the draw down
has left makes camping out a joy. Wind was an issue a day or three,
but that's spring.
And a week without leftist cretins can only be graded as a choice I
need to make *much* more often.
Wish you'd been on deck to man a net and feather the trolling motor.

Just what I read. I think it'll take a few years to come back to
normal, but the work they did on the dam and marinas is superb.
I still think of the late Peter Peelgrane and Horsetooth at once,
wonder if that'll ever abate.
