I think Tarantino made fun of those old Japanese karate/ninja movies with
lots of absurd killings. Anyone else recall them from like 20 - 25 years
ago? Or is it just me?
I can't stand Tarantino and I certainly won't be seeing Kill Bill. He still owes
me the roughly 2 hours of my life I wasted watch Pulp Fiction. I still remember
walking out of the cinema and listening to everyone say how cool it was, while I
was taking the piss. "Would you let me give you a foot massage?", funniest thing
I have ever heard.
There was a good movie in there trying to get out.

The Japanese in the movie or the movie itself?
Both sucked pretty bad...
I consided myself a Tarantino fan. I've gone so far to think that Oliver
Stone ruined a beutiful story of Tarantino in Natural Born Killers.
A Tarantino story, that Chinese chick I adore and Uma Thurman. This movie
seemed to have everything I liked. But still sucked badly.
Do like I do. Console yourself with reruns of Ally McBeal.

The movie is crappy indeed, but there are some funny scenes. When the
Japanese speak Engrish and the gaijins speak Japanese, for instance.

Hmm, might be worth seeing after all.

Lucy Liu doesn't do it for me. However, contrary to the consensus in
this thread I just got finished watching Kill Bill, Part 1 DVD and I
enjoyed the hell out of it. It's not the sort of movie one takes very
seriously but I thought it was alot of fun. The limb-lopping rampages
are more dance numbers than serious screen violence. I'm already
looking ahead to part 2.
Now Uma Thurman..... SHE's hot!
