Dear Sir/Mdm,

Can anyone advise what shipping regulation/requirement needed to obtain for
importing packed food (particularly can-packed & dry-packed, e.g. sauces or
convenience food) to Japan?

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Ed.

Haluk

Haluk provided already some URLs. I can only add that "privately packed
goods" are not considered legal imports.
I had to give up a smoked ham at Narita which was vacuum-packed by the
European farmer. An analysis report by a governmental institute was needed!
The cost of the test is so high that it is cheaper to fly to the other
country and eat it there...
