You always can try the free Zero Assumption Recovery Tool. It recovered
photos off a Smart Media card I had erased.

I am having a bit of trouble with my Olympus 2020Z digital camera. The
problem is when I use a 128mb smart media card. I have formatted it in the
camera, take a few pics, and then take the card out of the camera, slide it
into the flashpath for smart media, and when I click on the A drive, it
recognizes the A drive, but does not recognize anything on the smart media
card. It come up without any folders or anything. I can view them while
they are in the camera but not once i slide the card into the flashpath. I
have a 32 mb smart media card that works just fine from the camera to the
computer.
Any suggestions? I am wondering if the 128mb smart media card can not
be used or if the card itself is bad...any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Fwed,
I don't know what a "flashpath" is. But at the risk of looking silly I'll
assume it's just a regular computer card reader. If that's the case I'll
make a second assumption (were on thin ice here now ;) that you are on
a PC. If all those things are correct then you can't use the the A: drive.
A: is reserved for the floppy. Well unless you pulled some rather advanced
tricks. So it /may/ be that you are just trying to access the wrong
drive.
See, told you I was risking sounding silly.
O :-)

Actually, you are right.. a flashpath is something the smart media card
slides into, then it goes into the A: drive like a floppy. This works with
the 8mb card and the 16 mb card i have, but not the 128 mb card.... i was
thinking it was a formatting problem the 128 mb card was having...

Oh, I see. Yeah... I've seen those things. Yeah, formatting???
It could be. Heh... I'm clueless! Hopefully someone will be
along who /does/ know and help you out.
If noone pops up in a reasonable period try asking this over
at rec.photo.digital where you're likely to get ten or more
different (and same) answers in a very short period of time.
Also I wonder if googleing that group would turn up anything
usefull?
Sorry bro.
