Requesting some assistance with a translation
Douglas Hornick
looking for an accurate English translation. I tried a few online
translation web pages like babelfish etc.. but the result didn't seem to
make any sense. I would appreciate any help. Thanks. Here are the

OS). Perhaps you may wish to repost these in another coding - such as
ISO-2022-JP or Shift_JIS. Or failing that, romanize it.

It's something about getting what you dream about and fortuitous
meetings, but more flowery than my mental parser can handle.

What it will actually be will depend on the context and what it's being used
for. If the Tokyo "cousin" wants to put a frilly English phrase on her
homepage, that the Japanese visitors to the page can back-translate and get

then the literal translation is probably the best. Preferably in nice,
feminine, lavender handwriting over a flower-pattern background.

I use Outlook Express and changed the encoding under the international settings to: Japanese (JIS)

Wow, it was a guy. Does he get his ass kicked often?
But at least I was right about the audience. Since it's written for a fellow
Japanese, unless her English is quite good you should probably keep it
literal, so she can figure out what it means. Especially, keep the word
"dream" -- I'm sure she'll know that word.
And I still recommend the lavender girlie handwriting.
Of course, the tricky part is do you clean it up enough so that after it's
been framed and hanging on their living room wall for 10 years, some snotty
English teacher without much tact doesn't stroll in and tell them what lousy
English their prized romantic thingamaboobie is written in...

Ya damn right I was you big tough Navy guy. ha By the way, I start English teaching this Sept.1 thanks to a friend of a friend. The local city office is always looking for ALT's it seems. So now I'm on the payroll and will be in three elementary schools and one junior high school. Seems to be a better position to be in than a Nova or Aeon type teacher.
