Does anybody know what to do with Norton Antivirus 2002 after the ISP has
been changed? A neighbor has switched over to Yahoo and got the following
message:

"Can't find ISP after change from 56K modem."

I told him to uninstall Norton and reinstall Norton again. He did, but now
he gets the following messages:

"Live-Update could not connect to your ISP."

Another twisted English message is:

"Verify your dialing-up information is correct."

Any idea what to do? This software was a freebie which came with his new
computer.

Thanks,
Sigi

Not that I would ever, ever recommend installing and using 'financially
challenged' software - it IS a fact that software from Norton is rather easy
to obtain from the usual download sites. As are the 'ways around'
subscription restrictions etc.

The problem has been solved after Norton sent two additional files just 2
hours after posting to the company... (I never got any answer from them!)
Anyway, obtaining this software wasn't an issue since it was part of a
software packaged that came with the computer. You can get tons of them at
any given time for free... but don't download them without a virus checker
set for incoming viruses. Some of these programs arrive already
contaminated... I should know.:-)
