Thanks in advance, Enrique
Read my message below.
Call their number or try to email Canon. No such email exists.
What are you going to do when Canon warranty expires? Ask how much they
charge to repair and where you have to send it.
Just a suggestion.

(???) Maybe it's the difference between the US Canon and the home
office (HQ) here in Japan...

Don't buy Sony... Unless you want plastic crap designed to break
as soon as the warrentee period is over. If it's a choice between
between a Sony and a Cannon I'd get the Cannon reguardless of a
little difference in spec.
This is comming from a guy (me) who works inside Sony as an independant
contractor here in Japan fairly often.
Check out the digital camera reviews here:

These are not professional grade, but very good digital cameras --
small and excellent ratings.

Nope! This is indeed the level of service I have come to expect from
Canon, Nikon. Olympus, and other digital camera manufacturers that
have (or had) a popular line of SLR cameras.
AND exactly what you'll never get from Sony, Panasonic, Kyocera,
Hitachi, and other junk dealers.
