Hi, I have a little problem with my coolpix 3100, when I take photos in
daylight they are very sharp, perfect! But when I take photos inside,
during a party for example they are not perfect.
If I put the scene mode (party) they look more brigth but if someone
move it it became moved! if I put in auto mode they come quite good but
a bit dark.
Is there a combination of settings that i can put in manual mode so that
my photos in these situations come good?
Thanks

You mean blurred? Sounds like the flash is in "Slow" mode which
is Nikons' term for "Flash Fill" (using the flash as a fill light)
used to accentuate foreground subjects while also exposeing properly
for a darker background. Like a shot of your girlfriend against
an awesome dark red sunset or something.

Sounds like the speed flash or the deep flash is on. What's the
nominal distance for the 3100 built-in flash again? 25feet?

Stuff farther away will look dark.

No I don't think so. You've reached the limits of your equipment
in that particular setting. If you /need/ to get better results
try with an external flash. Or set several slaved flash pods up
around the shot.

NP, and hey don't take my opinion as concrete. Play around. You
might come up with something that work better than what your trying
now.

Ya, that's why they give you a manual. If you don't have one, check Nikon's
webpage. (Not trying to sound like a wise guy....cuz I have the coolpix
5700. The manual really explains all the settings.)
