Don't you just love how companies gripped by buy-outs do their damndest to sneak
it up on you so you don't realize what's going on? Oh, and Beckham's knowing
smirks while fondling his mobile phone in those irritating commercials makes me
want to SHAKE HIS FUCKING THROAT

You watch, they will slowly destroy a good brand name J Phone and completely
replace it with Vodafone. All this international stuff they are trying to use
will not work, no one cares about Vodafone.

When coming to japan I have to hire a specially adapted Vodafone phone to
use in Japan at a horrendous cost. Thers something dodgy going on with
Vodafone and their service is shocking. that will be a rude awakening to the
excellent service culture that exist in Japan.

What part of "There is NO GSM service in Japan" don't you understand?

Ever live in Japan? Just that your comment seems to indicate 'no'.

No, Japan has an excellent service culture. It's true; I read it in a

You have to admit, they are polite.

You have to be at the prices they charge.

I wonder if it counts as politeness when, for the most part, it's not
sincere. To me good service would be asking for a refill on my water
and getting it without much question; I will always remember doing
this in a small coffee shop in Umeda (one of those trendy places with
pretty cakes and half-filled glasses) and the waitress looked at me as
though I had asked her to calculate the distance to the sun in inches.
She eventually went to her manager, who tilted his head and eventually
said no.

Remember that you can't ask them to do things that aren't in the script.

"no" to a glass of water? The waitress probably thought you couldn't speak
Japanese even though you were speaking Japanese so your order for a refill
of water was mistranslated as a blowjob provided by the manager.

No wonder she looked at you funny.

She was probably jealous that I wasn't letting her have a piece of my
massive gaijin slab.

Actually, I think they probably used bottled water or some such and
didn't want to waste it. That's the only thing I can think of that
would lead them to deny a patron a refill on their water.
