An ecchi Third Impact question

entirety, Rei Ayayami was somehow derrived/cloned from the cells of
Lilith (or is the vessel for her soul?), whilst Kaoru Nagisa is
likewise created from Adam by SEELE.
From my readings on the web, I understand that Third Impact and the
Instrumentality of Man are fated to occur when a fusion between Adam
and Lilith takes place in actuality or by humans using various proxies
bearing the genes of the above (I think).
My enquiring hentai mind does have one question that immediately
sprung to mind however...
If Rei and Kaoru ever happened to erm... have sex, do you think that
this would be a sufficient trigger to initiate a form of Third Impact?

The idea of Rei and Kaworu having sex is SO bizarre to begin
with, it's hard to imagine. But even if they did, I don't
think they're sufficiently close to the necessary genetic
archetypes, or have enough individual power, to cause Third
Impact.

True. I always thought that Kaoru was homosexual. Hence that whole bath scene
with Shinji. This doesn't necessarily make Shinji gay though. People seem to
think the opposite and that's why yaoi is never ending between them.

Uh... I thought third impact, basically, occured when an Angel and Adam came
into contact. I don't think they said anything about needing to have sex...

My interpretation of that scene was that Kaoru tried to hit on Shinji,
embarassing him and making him very uncomfortable. The fact that
Shinji did not immediately beat the hell out of Kaoru does not mean
that he invited or welcomed his advances. After all, he wouldn't be
the first straight person to be hit on by a member of the same sex.
Either Shinji was too scred to do anything about it, or was
enlightened enough not to make a big deal about it (a 'sorry man, not
my scene - let's talk about/do something else' situation) - take your
pick...

I chose.. A). This IS Shinji we're talking about, after all. Remember his
reaction in "Asuka Strikes!" when Kaji asks if Misato is still so...wild in

Nada! Everyone else does the whole "Super Freak Out" deal, Shinji just looks
on with that clueless, innocent look he has. Asuka's only half right about
