American Death & Rebirth: Didn't it end a bit early?

Hi,

I just picked up a copy of NGE: Death & Rebirth this weekend. It's been a
looong time since I've seen an import copy of it, but I originally thought
that Rebirth went until Asuka was killed by Eva Series and Shinji sees her
and screams. Am I right, or am I going crazy?

That's when Air, the first part of The End of Evangelion, finishes.
Rebirth finishes with the MP Evas circling Asuka in Eva-02.
