Regular Rei is so calm, gentle and thoughtful. She seems to be
incredibly loyal and dutiful too. Her voice is one of the aspects I
most like about her - soft, quiet and a little bit throaty. I find
that very sexy indeed...

Asuka, because her insecurities and characteristics remind me so much of my
own. Including the bitchy exterior, occassionally. But I'm not really so
mean.
I really don't hate Rei at all, but I can't stand her stupid fanboy

No contest whatsoever: Rei. And now that I've actually seen some of
the series, it's still Rei. I always thought that fic authors were making a
bit much of how much Asuka bitches and complains, hits Shinji, runs down
Rei at EVERY opportunity (though to be fair, she does that with anybody she
can); I stand corrected - in some cases, the authors were actually toning
it down! Even though she has had such a raw deal, I just can't like Asuka
that much - I admire Shinji, though; ya gotta give props to the guy for not
smacking her.

Hmmm..I've seen EoE (which is Ep 25 and 26, IIRC), but that was a few
years ago; I must admit I like the quiet Rei, and you're right - she does
have a lovely soft voice.

second rei is so quiet and mysteriouse the whole time your going "
wtf? wtf is up with her wtf is she" and as the storry unfolds your
like " holy shit dude!" or your like " i dont get it isnt she dead
like 2 times already wtf?" so that makes her character cool and the
lilith/rei in the eva movies is just hands down such a crazy cool kick
ass character. but asuka is just so fuking hot and no matter how much
she seems a total bitch and how much fan fics love to make her the
absoloute most hated characrter in the world in the end you can tell
what she really is inside for those of you that are total asuka
obsesesive psychos like me and think she is your fav anime char in the
world and you examine the story line and get glimpses of who she is
and can look through her total im a super bitch anoying pompouse bitch
mask. i choose asuka becasue when she finaly gets out of her slump (
which by the way is a peek at who she really is ) and starts to fuking
mutilate in the eva movie she is just the bad ass of the univers. ive
been writing an eva fan fic with a main character named (secret) and
asuka as the main points in the storry ( i know we can all use some
relief on the whole shinji and rei being the center point ) its really
good i promise just email me and tell me not to loose track on it and
ill have the rough typed out soon ( first 68 pages+ ) but anyways i
digress asuka is a godess of a complex character and rei is the most
multilayered freak your head out character as well but if forced to
choose i pick the fiery super hottie asuka with her crazy personality
that will melt with the right touch.
