More on the FTP status

is still online, and I've noticed that there have been some people
trying to connect. Refer to my earlier post (google for "ftp back
online") about some of the new restrictions that have been placed on
connections. If you don't read that post, you'll be missing out. There
will be some new stuff going on the ftp in the next few weeks, so just
be patient.
Most people who are accessing the ftp are not reading the group
anymore (as far as I can tell), because a lot of them are still trying
to use PASV (passive file transfers) to connect, which will result in
a timeout. I need people to test my ftp for speed, so hurry up people.
Pick something to download and download it for cryin out loud. I've
been looking into getting a higher yield line (1.5-3.0Mbps/384Kbps),
but I'm not going to shell out double money if the bandwidth I have
now is sufficient.
In any case, move your butts 'cause I need more testers.

Oh yeah, I was banned for a while. Did I miss something? The only thing I can think of is maybe my FTP program kept on crashing and
I kept on trying to reconnect. Anyhoo, the one from theVan Nuys, CA Adelphia hub would be me. ;)
