I doubt I'd like to be stuck in a lift with Gendo, unless I had a
gun and escape route. Of course the problem there is that just
killing Gendo won't do any good; you've also got to wipe out

If you pop open the control panel, you see the whole cast from Hamtaro
- well, the hamsters, anyway - inside frantically running on wheels to
make the lights blink, working calculations at blackboards, and jumping
up and down on typewriter keys to make the printouts.

A friend of mine had the idea that NERV could have become a gas supplier
but the only problem would have been that their customers would probably
be a bit nervous of getting their gas from a company called "NERV gas"
;)
Gendo - Starts a new sinister organisation and starts it all over from
scratch again.
Misato - Starts the "Katsuragi beers" brewery, of which she is the chief
product taster.
Ritsuko - Sells the MAGI to Microsoft and retires early as a multi-
multi-multi-millionaire then opens her own home for stray
cats.
Kaji - 'Works' for "Katsuragi beers" although he doesn't actually do
much in the way of work.
Pen-Pen - Gets his own anime. Much merchandising ensues. Pen-Pen then
starts starring movies and then embarks on a musical career
with much success.
(He's also a major shareholder in Katsuragi beers)
Shinji - Becomes a librarian.
Asuka - I agree with the person who said that Asuka goes on any and all
chat shows, does signing sessions, and merchandises Unit-02 and
herself more than Pokemon ever did.
It is then revealed that Asuka is the daughter of Anne Robinson
(That explains the hair colour and attitude)
Rei - Rei becomes Gendo's secretary in his new sinister organisation.
Unit-01 - Shinji has Unit-01 recycled. The organic parts are made into
cat food for Ritsuko's cats and the metal parts become cola
cans.
Unit-02 - Asuka keeps Unit-02 and uses it in her photo sessions for
magazines.
Unit-00 - Was repossessed by the UN.

- Repairing all the damage Misato's car sustains in the line of duty.

NERV decided that Unit-00 would look much nicer in blue than it did in

spent on base defences. The average Iraqi base is much better defended
than NERV headquarters.

7) Read the manga :) Anyways, in the manga, Nerv has an "Angel Restrainment
System" or some similar name was used to block the EVA with strong wires,
most probably the EVA deactivated it's self when Yui was back in control.
8) the children would probably still go to school, Misato being bonded to
them from the time at nerv probably will continue to take care of them.
Kaji, if still alive, would continue working with the JSDF intel and for
Seele. Ritsuko would probably teach at a university, with Maya not far
behind, the two guys that work with command center crew would probably be
programmers making games (one of them specializing in the Hentai branch of
games). Commander Ikari would probably try to stay with Yui/EVA-01 until the
day he dies or takes his life.
9) Repairs of the EVA's, Medical teams, Public Relations, advances in
science, industrial espionage, not to mention the electricity bill :)
10) Most probably the battleship was used to protect the geofront against a
military attack, and to keep people from seeing Lilith if they made it down
there.
11) Shinji getting off the aircraft carrier in Asuka's plug suit, and the
reactions of Toji and Kensuke.
12) Still, it's the primordial soup of life, even if it can contain oxygen
and carbon dioxide, it still needs to be scrubbed from CO2 to keep the pilot
alive, if it was fizzy, the Oxygen wouldn't be able to stay in the LCL, thus
making it insuitable for the liquid atmosphere in the plug.
13) Commander Ikari: Normal type aparment, spartan furniture, nothing that
can remind him of Yui.
Ritsuko: Cat heaven? Scratching posts in every corner, one fridge dedicated
to cat food :)
14) Dunno, but Misato being responsible for the pilots, the damage on the
car can be written off by her as "Buisiness Expenses" and have Nerv pay for
the repairs :)

Hmm. If it was just in the Eva universe, I'd just use the next 3 in
line after Toji in their classroom group.
If I was allowed to mix anime universes, Ekichi Onizuka (GTO) since
he's able to adapt very fast to almost any situation, and he's old
enough to give Koji a run for Misato's heart, Ryoko (Real Bout High
School) so that we could see an eva sporting a full length sword, not
just the prog knife, and finally, Amuro Rei (Mobile Suit Gundam) just
because his newtype abilities would take Evas to the next level.
Allowing video game universes into the mix, I'd toss in Feifong Wong
(Xenogears), although he'd bring in Weltall (the Godslaying gear).

Is Gendo really that tactically experienced? Technically Misato is
there for providing tactical leadership. Gendo is more of an
administrator, with maybe a science background, isn't he?

Oh, just forgot to put it in, I was going up and down the list filling
in whatever I could think of, and forgot to triple-check my answers
before posting. After much thought, I'm going with Asuka's prep for

You forgot that Gendo was the one in charge when Misato was off running
the test on Eva Unit 03 and it was infected by the remnants of the
microscopic angel that almost blew up NERV. He was the one that
ordered the dummy plug to be activated when Shinji refused to fight
with a human still inside the angel.

That's true.
I don't think he would have had any military training, so he probably
picked it up when he lost Yui and he worked out what he needed to do
to get her back.

He might have done the same sort of thing as Gendo. But, he might
have tried to convince Shinji to fight first. You know, "If you don't
fight, you and all your friends will die...", or "Toji is probably
already dead, killed by the Angel..." If that didn't work, he would
have turned on the dummy plug, but he probably would have tried
turning it off when the angel was defeated, not letting Unit01 go on
shredding the angel.
