This is Re: End of Eva, at the very end, I think I've made up my mind what
exactly happened, but why does Shinji Try to strangle asuka? especially
after he said he was going to remain there a while and think about his past
from birth. and why was asuka there with him in the first place?
and are they at the antarctic?

Shinji's main sexual experience has been choking his chicken. So he
thinks foreplay consists of choking Asuka.

She either
A) Didn't get turned into LCL with everyone else due to being
in her Eva, or
B) Was the first one to return to her regular form, or
C) Shinji's lost what few marbles he had and is imagining
her presence.

Watched everything in the last two days, and still feel depressed majorly,
but, the websites and other friends i had talkes to about it, helped give

up with my theories after only 2 days.

well heres what i think, I choose to believe the theory that all of humanity
evolved and shinji, just like his dad, felt that he didnt deserve their
universal acceptance, but still wanted it, so stayed on earth to think about
stuff. you can see all the rest of humanity surrounding the glowing moon.
the red ring around it i reckon is the lcl soul mixture. Lilith dies, and
Rei III survives with her own soul, not a mix of Yui's body and Lilith's
soul.
Everyone else is on the moon (heh heh, so thats the reason behind the 'fly
me to the moon' ending ;D) and yeh,
another thing i dont get: how can a dead person evolve?

Rei IS Lilith. There is no ReiIII soul, it is Lilith's soul thinking that
she is Rei.

It's not so much a matter of evolution as a change in the state
of existance.
We believe that as long as the person wasn't dead too long,
their souls were caught up in Rei the Angel of Death's sweep.
So Misato and Ritsuko (and everyone killed in the assault on
NERV) are in the LCL soup, somewhere.

It's not an argument. You are way off and I am right! There's nothing to
discuss. Lilith is not an Angel. Regardless of how relevant you think
titles are if you have ever watched NGE and discussed it to any length you
will quickly realize that names are VERY important!
