Interest Rates
Half or Quarter percent? Is it really necessary?
The Fed will decide today just how much to lower interest
rates. In expectation of this decision, the markets pushed
lower over the last two days - the market has factored in
a 25 basis point cut, but would probably rally on 50 basis
point cut. Still some economists question whether we need
another rate cut at this point, high interest rates are
not holding growth back.
The Bush Presidency
Any competition in 2004?
As several democrats with presidential aspirations are
beginning to throw their hat in the ring, it's becoming
clear that at this point, Bush faces no serious competition.
