My question is; is there any custom on last words/comments/actions
when I see him for the last time?? I doubt I will see him again after
this time, but I would like to keep in touch for possible reference
purposes.
Thanks in advance,
ChrisG.
We could probably tell you some nice polite stuff to say, but when he
fucks you out of your pay you'll probably decide not to use it.
You *do* see a potential screwing coming your way...don't you?

Doesn't the guy speak English? ;-)
I suppose the polite thing to say would be "Taihen osewa ni narimashita",
but like Mike says, I'd make sure you get all your pay before using it.

Actually to answer your question, he already GAVE me 10 man serverence
pay which is more than if he were to just not pay me for the last
weeks in May. The man has been overly generous to a fault. Probably
the reason why he's going out of business.
This was a cushy job, but as they say, all good things must come to an
end. But damnit... if he just coulda held out until the end of the
summer when I finish school.

That's too bad. He's such a rarity in the eikaiwa world that you
really out to consider having him stuffed and placed on display in a
museum somewhere. Lots of teachers get shafted royally in situations
like that. I hope whatever he tries next works out better for him.

You'll find something else.

If you've got time left on a three year visa, why don't you make a go of it
on your own? I've known people with just a few months in Japan who do. One
guy I recently met has it down. He pays a very small sum to rent out a room
in a public hall by the hour, and finds his own students very easily.
