Absolutely.

Not everyone has learned how to type via a regular keyboard. And even
those who have may not be entirely comfortable with it or able to work
with any degree of speed.

But the explosion of keitai-based e-mail in Japan means that there is
a huge population of people who are very proficient indeed at keying
in text with one thumb. They'll likely find this product appealing.
