no transfer

Hi all
got a mddle of the road camera, just stopped transfering pics, camera seems
to be working ok its just that when i attempt to transfer using u lead
software i get the message "check power and cable" its as thouh windows
doesnt see my camera ,i am a novice so any help appreciated...regards ...
