A little off track, but does anyone know how digital pictures can be saved
onto a CD to make them readable on a DVD player?

I /think it can be dome.... you mean like a home entertainment
console type DVD player and/or any/every DVD player right?

you're gonna have to search around in the specs for DVD ISO
specs and/or try a demo of some software that claims it. I
/think/ I have movie DVD discs that have stills on them other
than for menus... Search around.

I have a DVD that will read MP3, jpeg and Kodak Picture CD. My other DVD
player will read none of these, Only DVD movies.. so far as I have found. It
is older and I'm sure most new ones read JPeg. However, this is an
interesting question..

I have a friend that is into Digital video and feeds his stills into a
digital movie editing software and burns true DVD's that play on all DVD
player. However, short of the investment into Video editing software.. and a
DVD burner, it would be nice to have the know how to save our Photos onto a
CD to share with friends and Family and say "Just pop this CD into your DVD
player."

Now my curiosity is peeked..... research time... Catch yaz later...

my £40 Schneider DVD player( from asda ) plays mpegs @ very good , full
screen quality , I write the pics to disc using Nero 5 and the DVD player
shows them as a slide show.
