in Kansai Japan, has anybody rented motorcycles?

was more than 30 years ago. On several trips back to Japan, I always
bemoan the cost of transportation and getting around from day to day,
even when staying within districts like say the Kansai or Kanto
regions. The next time I go, I would like to rent a motorcycle for
about a month, anything from about 50cc to say 250cc. The thing is, I
don't know if there are places that rent machines. I have heard that
maybe a car rental place have 50cc machines. I would rent one of
those if that's all, but I'd really like to get something a tad
bigger, and maybe even a machine to ride two up. If I can't rent a
machine I was trying to find out if it was feasible to buy a used
motorcycle for a month and then sell it by pre-arranged agreement with
the bike store, when I leave Japan. Does anybody know if such rental
facilities are there, where and an idea how much including kilometrage
rates? Or failing that, does anybody have experience buying used
motorcycles?

will probably decide that riding the trains and buses is more
economical than renting a bike (at least for anything over 50cc).

Thank you mr. Cash. The last link led me to a scooter rental place in
Osaka which is promising. And now I know I can rent a scooter for
11,800Yn a month w/3manYn deposit.
Also those links got me started on some internet browsing and i came
across motorcycles for sale, more particularly a Honda 250cc which
would be ideal if licensing and ins. are reasonable.
