misato responds "you wouldn't want to pilot any other EVA." misato then
thinks to herself, "Unit 02 wouldn't have worked anyway." how come Unit
02 would not have worked?

Auska is the only one of the children that actually seems to have a
"relationship" with her eva. I mean she call it "ludkin" etc which I
think translates as darling or something.

She has an unhealthy attachment to her Eva! If any of the pilots has a
relationship with their Eva's it's Shinji and Unit 01.

is shinji's relationship with the Eva a healthy one because his mom's soul
resides in it? i would actually think that shinji's feeling towards the Eva
is disgust because he hate to pilot it yet he continues to do so only so that
he feels that his life matters.

Never said it was a good relationship, just said it was "a" relationship.
This is because it actually interacts and responds to him and his
environment. Until EoE no other Eva engaged their pilot in this manner.

Interact and responds - that triggers off a thought in me , i'm not
sure what episode it was but in the one asuka addresses her eva and
tells it : your my doll and will do as i say . Could the eva maybe
have been "miffed" and thats why it didnt synch with her ?

I dunno if its that simple , you cant say she wasnt stressed whenever
she goes into battle. But to you follow your vein of thought I would
say it would be more self-confidence than stress that blocked here.
