Is there a particularly bad reason for the area to be
cheap? In Kujikiri, I would be a 6 km, 25 minute bus
ride from the station, but I could be walking distance
from the beach, on hundreds of square meters of grassy
residential land.

About ten or fewer years old (yet probably already completely remodeled),
five, six or more rooms (110 sq m +), not prefab looking, and within about
5 km of a station and highway on ramps. Maybe even Narita International
itself. Walking distance to the beach in some cases. I'm only looking at
houses with about 400 sq m or more of land, and grass in the photos, for a
real garden, space for kids to play, and me to build things.
And commuting distance to Tokyo for shopping or children's university, so I
don't need an additional household of expenses for that in the future.
For less than 25 million. Maybe less than 20 million.
Prices in Eastern Chiba are insane. It's not as convenient as where I live,
but real estate is damn cheaper.

I've been looking in areas west of Osaka. I see old or small houses for
those kind of prices.
