A friend of mine is undertaking some research to determine priorities for
foreign visitors to Japan.

She has compiled an anonymous web survey, and would appreciate feedback
through undertaking the very brief survey.

It is not a gimmick or marketing spam tool, just a simple survey and no
personal details need be provided.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the link below and click on "answer the questions".

Thank you!

A semi-regular on one newsgroup could look suspicious if he cross-posts
to others, I suppose. Or maybe only to those of a suspicious turn of
mind.

Actually he's not. A cross poster, yes, though that in and of itself
really isn't a crime. As I see it, if you don't want to answer the
survey just... don't.

Am not a "troll"; just posting for a friend.... if you are not interested,
please feel free to disregard

This is all the evidence I need to know that this was not a troll. A
real troll (at least, the commercial kind, which is what this would have
been) would never read the newsgroup and post a reply.

I hate having to put on a show of being mean, but it seems the only way
to avoid people being mean to you these days is to be mean yourself.
