Cool. I thought home brewing was fun. But right now I'd like to build my
own cruise missile.

Sepponians unite! How much longer are we going to
wait before we liberate this guy?

Probably until oil is discovered in New Zealand?

I liked the idea of attaching a ramjet similar to those used on the WW2
V-1 buzz bombs to something more practical, ie, his Honda.

And checkout the rear license plate on that Honda. What's the Brett
connection?

When you finish with that project...

Great! Now you've got Sepponia thinking that
liberation might be able to wait until a country
with a slightly darker population buys these
inventions.

The fact that they might both might be mistaken
for an arse-in-all.

Note to that Homeland Security Agency thangy that
logs everything I post to fjlij. I have no
intention of blowing up ANYTHING. This guy, with
his "Tom Cruise Missile" joke didn't either

I forget which manufacturer it was, but a US car company built a jet
powered car in the early 60s (?). It was purely a concept car, but I
saw it drive on The History Channel a few weeks ago.

I watched a jet powered truck (sans trailer) roaring around the Sydney
Showground at one of the Easter Show thingees in the 70's. The owner had
fitted an engine from an ex-RAAF Canberra bomber that I guessed he
picked up when those planes were scrapped after the Vietnam war. The
truck moved fookin quickly and was a site to see.

Absolutely useless for hauling freight of course.

I liked how the Guardian newspaper in Britain covered the story

"Don't worry about Russia's bioweapon laboratories and North Korea's
nuclear program: the greatest threat to world security is sitting in a
shed in New Zealand."

And how Jane's Missiles and Rockets said Mr Simpson's cruise missile
would not be a serious security risk because it would be unable to beat
defensive systems. Air Force staff in New Zealand have refused to
comment, though only a cynic would suggest that this is because there
are no defensive systems in NZ.

I would imagine that a problem might be the exhaust. Would probably
keep the tailgaters away. The prototype vehicle owner said that it
couldn't stop for too long because it would destroy the asphalt.

Who wants to defend a bunch of sheep anyway?

Seriously, it isn't impossible for someone to make a devastating bomb
more or less unnoticed. Oklahoma City showed this. What makes me
comfortable in the world today is that the terrorists who are
supposedly targeting the US haven't figured out that there are some
really, really, really easy ways to create a lot of death and
destruction without much effort.
