Although I don't know if there's a better answer, you have to keep in mind
that this newsgroup is maintained in Japan -- we English-speakers just
hijacked it! So any information might be in those "about this Newsgroup"
autopostings that go around every once in a while. I ran one through the
Google translator much, but it didn't do too much good.
Luckily there doesn't seem to be too much spam. I think the spammers have
largely abandoned most non- alt.sex.* newsgroups.

I'm not sure we have a policy on spam. Do other groups have spam
policies?

Cancel requests are often ignored by many news-servers, since they
have been misused in the pass. It is usually best to just ignore
them.
