I'll be leading a small group from Denver to Kyoto, Takayama, and Tokyo in
mid-April. One of the members of the group asked about having a kaiseki meal. I
had a very nice meal outside Kyoto many years ago but have no idea where to go
for such a meal today. Any one here have any recomendations?
Kind regards,

for suggestions in Tokyo. Please be forwarned that Kaiseki cuisine
costs an arm and a leg. If you check into a good ryokan, you should
be able to get a proper japanese cuisine experience. If you want
a dinner with a geisha, you need to make reservations at a
ryoteiya. Ask your concierge in Kyoto if its possible.
Hope this helps.

Yes, I know Kaiseki can get pretty expensive. But, if that's what
they want and they are willing to pay, so be it.
But thanks for the link, that looks very helpful.

I don't know if it helps the OP, but it helps ME!!
Fantastic site. We just decided on two weeks in mid-May for our next
venture and I'm sure this page will help us find some good stuff.
Thanks a lot.
