The first aspect of having a thread named after you, is seeing your NG
handle on the screen. This main not be a big deal for some, but others
really love it.
Secondly, some people really do love to have their handle on the screen,
this is shown by the amount of people bitching about not having their own
thread named after themselves. These people firstly complain about not
having a thread, and then they move on to more personal matters.
Thridly, because people bitch about not having a thread, they get angry
at others, this can lead to harmful/hurtful comments about the person with a
thread. "Non-threadies" will constantly mock the "threadies" grammar,
humour, intelligence and/or family/relations, this can be hurtful to some,
but most just don't care.
There is no major effect of having a thread named after you, other than your
NG handle on the screen, people talking about you and/or your stupidity and
people bitching about not having their own thread. I have studied the facts
and my judgement is that threads named after people rarely have "on-topic"
content and that kids, should not try this at home.
Goku!! I've been looking for you EVERYWHERE!!! I mean,
alt.planet.vegeta, alt.planet.earth, alt.planet.namek ...
nothing!
Thank God you've got a thread named after you or I'd never have
found you!
Er. You are Son Gokou? Ne?

Your question doesn't make any sense. You might as well ask whether
it is possible to grow vegetables from a painting, without becoming

There is a rule too! You are not aloud to start it yourself!

Not really. It's exactly the other way round:

LMAO
Damn doesn't that sound familiar! I told you so Rudolf!
I don't know where that comes from but it doesn't really count here.
There's no intense debate or anything. It's more of a jealous thing.
Nothing confrontational about the discussion.
It's also off-topic. Give me soul!!!

You have soul. Give soul back.
If you want to see what happens if one's soul is removed, look at my

WHY CAN'T YOU SPEAK IN ENGLISH? There is nothing special about latin!
Sure there is! It's the language of the professions, Law, Medicine, and
Science. Not to mention the root language from which French, Spanish,
Italian and the other Romance languages comes from. Latin ain't dead. Not by
a long shot.
Vaughn L.Porter
End of Line.
Doesn't make it special!
It's not more or less special than English, German or any other
language.

I am using the wrong technology.
After a while, they could handle.
Oh hang on a bit there! Let's not be drastic, English IS special.
In which sense? English is just another language. You are right in
saying that Latin is a dead language - but what makes the English
language more special than Chinese, Russian, Japanese or German? Nothing
- it's just one language of many.
You only think English has an advantage over all other languages because
*you* are speaking English. In a group whose name starts with "japan.",
English is no more or less special than Latin. Japanese is the only
exception, because it's mentioned in the group name - all other
languages are to be considered equal here.

At this then you a candy and a pat on the lover...........
Have I ever asked you for sympathy?
I just suffered at the hands of 49 Reis.
Oh really?
You mean aside from the fact that English is the international language?
That it's the most commonly spoken language throughout the world on a per
national basis? Aside from the fact that it's the most difficult language
in the world to learn?
Aside from all that, it lets you attempt to try and understand my
messages! :P

Not to mention it is the universal language for comercial pilots.

Oh? I thought Mandarin Chinese had that title.

Even then, comprehension isn't always possible.

Anyone have a Universal Translator set to
Disaster-speak?
Nah, English is the hardest 2nd language as far as I know.
