First off, I just found this group so Hi everyone! (Yay! There's an Eva
group!!) :D

I wonder if anyone here can perhaps solve an Eva problem that's been
bugging me for some time?

Can anyone tell me what the inscription on Pen Pen's collar says?

I see the "Pen 2" bit but there's something much smaller written above
it and, as my Eva TV series is on VHS, I can't get a clear shot of it
when I pause the tape.

Any help on this matter is much needed:)

Thanks! :)

Or a sell by date? ;)

I have to wonder, exactly what is the point of creating a warm water
penguin in the first place? :)

(Other than for purposes of cute anime mascot, of course <g>)

Maybe Pen Pen was the original form intended for the Eva's...Before
Commander Ikari thought up the idea of giant-bio/mechanical-robot-of-
doom :D

Maybe there's a Pen Pen inside every Eva? :)

Sorry, I'm being silly now :)

Sorry:)

I live in the UK and "End of Evangelion" just came out here on the 17th
of Feb and I think I have to agree with the part of the audio commentary
where they say that, after seeing something *that* dark and disturbing,
you simply *have* to be light hearted! :D

Still, despite all the trauma of EoE, it did contribute *one* thing to
mankind...

(Spoiler space if anyone hasn't seen EoE)

- Misato created the Olympic sport of Shinji dragging! :D

Yes indeed sports fans, how far can *you* drag your Shinji?

Mother Nature did it already (sort of) with the varieties that hang out
off of South Africa and the Galapogos.

Yes, the Giant Electric Penguin! Goes right along side of the sport of
Shinji Dragging (next event
in the High Class Twit of the Year contest)

I think we have indeed created a new Olympic event.

Each athlete has to drag Shinji (Misato style) as far as possible whilst
avoiding a hail of bullets.

As you remarked, it's hard to tell. I recall that Maya or
Ritsuko remarked at one point that during Second Impact, Adam
neutralized the AT fields of not only the humans around him,
he did the animals, too, and swept much of the South Pole
clean of life. It is possible that such a thing happened
during Third Impact. But we don't see Rei the Angel of
Death doing any animals, so I suspect they weren't touched.
After all, this was humanity's time to become angelic; the
animals wouldn't have been involved.

Wouldn't the buildings (shops, hotels, etc.) be intact too, and have
lighters, lots of instant food, a penthouse suite to sleep in ^_^, etc. so
no real need for survival techniques for a long while :-)

The country codes have been derived from the International
Organization for Standardization standard ISO 3166 found on:
http://www.iso.org/iso/en/prods-services/iso3166ma/index.html

Given the scenario of NGE I wonder if AQ is still in use :-)
Oh, I see: AQ is Antarctica and usually only is present on the web
when it is winter on the northern hemisphere...

I wonder if it possible to register second-impact.aq >;->

It appears the ".aq" domain name is "reserved to organisations
conducting work in Antarctica and promoting the Antarctic and Southern
Ocean regions." <http://www.latitude.aq/about/aq.html>

Like gendou.aq etc.?

F*ck, there's an "and" here.

Wouldn't he have gendou.nerv or gendou.gehirn?
Probably, gendou.nerv.int

Yeah, Gehirn didn't actually promote the region...

Of course it is... there's even a garden in it, the "Ruby garden".
Seems like Ruby is a *small* country...

Does anyone know Sikinia?

Or - according to existing standards:

http://www.gehiln.aq/~gikari/

Mail to

gik...@gehiln.aq

Of course, gehirn.aq will be an alias to gehiln.aq.

Huh? *googles* Oh.

"Every road in Sikinia is one-way. Every pair of cities is connected
exactly by one direct road. Show that there exists a city which can be
reached from every city directly or via at most one other city."

Nope, don't know it.

Gehiln? Not another spelling difference...

A typical "example country", used by one (and only one) prof. Nothing
there is like it is here.

IIRC somewhere there's "GEHILN" instead of "GEHIRN". But it might only
be the subs...

But in German, "Gehirn" is correct.
