Our local Ito Yokado supermarket had a "Hanshin Tigers kansha sale" today
with the team song blaring out of cheap stereos all around the store. I
wouldn't have thought there were many Tigers fans around these parts, and
anyway, didn't they lose?

It's a kansha sale; not an iwai sale.

True, but I don't recall the Giants getting much kansha for losing. They
even sacked their manager.
