Fellow Methusalehs:

Both Malkavian Time Auction and the Succubus Club allow you to auction
or trade control of a "card"? What is a "card"?

Certainly, both the London Evening Star and Dre, Leader of the Cold
Dawn would fit this definition. How about Children of Osiris? I
would think so, but the effect would be small (it would just change
who could block any attempt to burn the card, I'd guess).

I would also guess you could auction or trade off a Form of
Corruption, couldn't you?? Some interesting possibilities there!

What about cards like Depravity or a Dominate master card? Would this
have any effect?? What about a Flamthrower or Mr. Winthrop?? I
wouldn't expect the new controller of the card could move them off the
present vampire onto one of their vampires, could they??

Any insight into or discussion of these issues would be welcome.

Thanks,
Madman

The green-backed or amber-backed paper things. :-)

Correct.

Yes.

Change of control (which would matter if the new controller were ousted,
for example).

Equipment or retainers would be moved to a minion controlled by the new
controller. These are the only two things that do so.

Hmm if the control of a minion changes I'm positive it would be moved to the
new controller too :)

And locations (which are not considered to be equipment when in play)?
e.g. Palatial Estate

Re-writing this to what you say:

"A minion would be moved to a minion controlled by the new controller."

LSJ is referring, in this point, to re-assignment of cards in that
fashion, rather than transfer of control in general.

Oops. Yes, those too. [RTR 23-JUL-1998]

Right. The physical location of the minion on the table has nothing
to do with control (just as the physical location of a master card
on the table has nothing to do with control).

The player who controls the minion controls it. Similar to the way
Dramatic Upheaval works - player move and cards remain controlled.
Cards are then (automatically) moved to the appropriate position on
the table to indicate this (even in the absence of card text).

Position reminds you who controls what - it doesn't dictate control.

Trust me, if cards would be moved automatically after a Dramatic Upheaval, I
wouldn't mind bringing my DU deck at tournaments. As we have to move them by
ourselves, in a slow irritating process (much more so than, say, simply using
paper markers to show who's where this turn), I don't dare bring a deck that
forces people to move about 10 or 15 times per game (when working correctly,
of course).
