This vision came to me earlier today:

Our government will decimate all of Afghanistan, with some sort of
simulated-plague-virus or SPV, that loses effect immediately at the
borders. This will so frighten the entire world, that all will bow on
one knee to the Great Molech Amerika. Suddenly, in less than a
half-day, the USA reigns sovereign and total over every other nation.
No bird, nor even a feather on that bird; no thought, nor even a
thought of a thought; no stone, nor even a pebble; shall go unturned
in Big Brother's UberIntelligent Nano-Spy Technology. Eeek! There will
not even be a private space in your mind...we all share, share, share,
like one gigantic cyber-whorehouse.

So hold onto your seat, dear friends...it's gonna be a bumpy ride for
those who still need some lessons learned. Have an incredible
Halloween, and do not fear things that go bump in the night...for they
are most likely more fearful of you!

You know dude, if you wrote that down on paper, you might have something
called "fiction", rather than running around telling that story to numerous
sane people and having something called a "prescription".

Creating a story about the world that IS NOT THE WORLD, and relating to the
world as if it WERE your story, is called "schizophrenia".

Now if you would go take your IQ immense enough to create these elaborate
ideas, and express it productively as a HYPOTHETICAL between book covers,
then maybe you might relax after making some money. Sit back with a whiskey
instead of clucking about the sky falling.

Now go away, and come back to make fun of newsgroups when you're a rich old
fiction writing pulp artist. Keep having your dreams, but realize only you
are having them, the world doesn't turn out this way, and that milking them
for the material is your only option.

Pathogens don't work that way.

Any virus (or other pathogen for that matter) will infect all suceptible
hosts it comes into contact with.

They don't stop.
They are life forms, & will reproduce whenever they can.
They care not for the borders of man.

Any one/nation stupid enough to release an engineered pathogen for
biological warfare will rapidly find it comes back to bite them.

Two things will happen:

The pathogen is so deadly it 'burns out'.
In other words, it kills the hosts so quickly, they don't have time to
spread it to new hosts. Like Ebola, or Marburg.

Or the pathogen rapidly spreads world wide - a world wide pandemic with
staggering mortality.
Like the Black & Bubonic Plauges, the killer flu (of 1918), smallpox....

It will only stop when it runs out of hosts.

Not because it comes to a human determined nation state border.

To pathogens, all humans are prey.
