You have to load them all by scratch like you did when you got them the
first time.
No list on what or doesn't work though.
Just load them and see if they do, so far CharonCart didn't work for me.

Good to hear that! What is the real issue that made some extensions work and
others don't? Is it because of the directory where the extensions are
installed to? Can you shed some light on this Jag?

There are many issues involved, I will try to cover them without going into
too many details:

1) The internal DW's JavaScript engine moved from version 1.2 to 1.5. It
added some powerful features but also broke something in the process

2) Folder structure changed quite a bit, in case of CF the changes are many
(it's a totally new server model, not backward compatible) and require a
brand new packaging, I am not sure about ASP

3) XML format for SBs changed, even if backward compatibility is there
(still have to investigate more)

4) The old Object tab is now replaced by the Insert Bar, causing many old
objects to have assorted installation issues

5) MM changed a few internals in the way shared JavaScript libraries are
available in DW. Many of us used certain undocumented features that
underwent a major change

Due to the reasons above, many of the more complex extensions need some
attentions, including stuff developed by MM, like Coursebuilder, Flash
Integration Kit, InstaGraphics ecc...

The folder locations are different and there is a new JavaScript
interpreter. 1.5 and that is more strict than the 1.2 interpreter. We are
working on the Extension Manager right now and after that we are going to
start to fix our own extensions. Most extensions should not have any
serious problems, but some may need modest work to get them going.

Just curious--if the new CF server model that comes with DW MX is not
backward compatible, and we develop using it, will the CF pages run on a
host that uses CF 4.5 or 5? If not, what's the use unless you have your own
server and don't go through a web hosting company?

I wasn't clear. DW MX has *two* CF server models.

- One is the same as UD 4, 100% compatible with pages created in UD 4 (CF
4.0+). Basically it's there for backward compatibility

- The other is totally new, is almost all I ever wanted to see since UD 1
was released, clean code, flexibility, you will love it! Unfortunately it
doesn't recognize pages authored with UD 4 (see above). The CFML code
outputted is compatible with CF 5+

Hope it will help

Look in the Extending Dreamweaver reference in the Help menu. The biggest
changes are the folder names of the server models, the ExtensionData
directory being discontinued (server models are now at the folder level
using .edml files instead of .xml files), and many shared files have moved
locations.
