Just a Thought,
I run a bmx website with tons of bmx links on it,
and going tho some of them I see lots
of photos small video clips and lots of good
info , What I have not seen is any BMX web
site yet that has a live webcam to a BMX race
track, Via internet so other interneters can wach races
as they happen...................
Is ther any track operator, that has thought
of adding a live webcam at ther BMX races?
This may be a good tool to help get people
to the tracks and help in some ways...
people could wach a race via internet and not be left out.
I do know of the cost of adding a cam is not cheep,
but just a thought from a BMX internet junky........

CC- this was also asked on BMXtalk,CG-BMX &

My thoughts? Webcams suck ass. Alright, perhaps not webcams per se,
but more the restrictions of bandwidth that mean that watching something
on a webcam is about as entertaining as a full frontal lobotomy. And
it's certainly not suited to something high speed like bmx racing. With
a refresh rate of about 30 seconds, you could watch the racers line up
at the gate and by the time it had refreshed, have missed the entire
race. Even with a quicker refresh rate, you'd still miss most of the
action.

With the advent of high capacity broadband, this sort of thing will
become a reality and you'll effectively have millions and millions of
channels of 'live tv', but for the moment, the technology ain't there.

Oh, and setting up a web cam is pretty cheap.
