It's about time I risked inviting people to a meet. No-one seems to be
very local to me, but if there are any folks able to come to the Town
Park in Telford on Saturday 15th August I plan to be there for a
one-day-after-my-birthday celebratory afpmeet. If I get some tentative
hints that people might dare the wilds of Shropshire, then I'll see
about booking a table in the 'Alice in Wonderland' park for a picnic. It
isn't big or fancy, like Alton Towers or anything but I've heard it's
nice. It's got character statues and swings, that sort of thing. And
there's a lake nearby with swans, and cafes and a pub, sort of thing.

I'll put out some more details a bit nearer the time.

About 10 minutes' walk for a fit person. I'll have to check on buses -
I'm not sure, but you could probably get there before the bus did. I'll
work up a map and put it on my site. 'Course, if anyone had problems
with mobility I'd arrange to meet them with a taxi (which might be
Donald's car).

Isn't it strange that people who live a distance away from something see
it more often than local people?

So, a double birthday celebration :o]

I think I'll manage a 10 minute walk ;)

I have noticed the same phenomonon with Drayton Manor park (which is about
20mins drive from my house). Every bank holiday Tamworthians moan
constantly that the whole area is grid-locked with other people going to
Drayton Manor whereas the locals very rarely use it!
Anyway count me in for definate, I'll just have to find out about train
times now! (which I can definatly manage by myself thanks). Oh, whats the
url for your home page?

Yes isn't it?

I visited Telford's Town Park only a month ago with freinds who live in
Telford. It was a great excuse to take the kids out and, despite being a
bit on the damp side, an enjoyable time was had by all. The maze is a
scream but the kids will solve it before you do (if you can borrow some ).
We now live in Bristol but visit reglar. (I wonder if I could arrnge a
visit 'round about August???.........)

I've been leaving it out because I'm on the move from one account to
another, but most of my, um, artwork is still on
http://www.anggab.enta.net/ . Can't say for how much longer, though.
I'll probably keep most of it but you know how it is when you move
house - some things just don't look right any more.

BTW thanks for saying you'd come along to the Telford meet. Perhaps you
should have waited until you'd seen my home page :o]
