Best to diagnose first, THEN fix it. Otherwise, you will run out of money
before they run out of parts. Likely areas to TEST:
1. Clean the idle speed air valve- they get gummed up and stick in opne
position from oily crankcase fumes. Cost- free.
2. Check power and ground for the idle speed computer. Correct as needed.
3. With the engine idling (too high of course) tap un and wiggle the idle speed
computer top see if that changes it. Last, take the idle speed computer out of
its casing, and resolder the connections at the pinout. Then try it again.
