I have a 1982 380 sec, and the idle is too high. I'd like for somebody to please tell me how to bring down the idle speed

Your idle speed regulator box need to be changed... it is that box in the middle of the car between the firewalls. You can buy a remanufactured unit for $111.25 with exchange from Beckmann Technologies 800-742-1021 and they come with 1 year warranty.
