According to a flyer in my local library
Hatfield house is staging a 'Tudor Revel' on
July 17 with jousting, archery, falconry, jesters,
craft fair and so forth.
The event is from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm and
tickets are 6.50 ukp (or 5.50 for a party of 20 or
more)
(phone 01707 262823)
Hatfield house is in Hatfield UK about 20 mile north
of London, next to Hatfield Station on the
London-Cambridge line
(30 min from Kings X)
and just off the A1 London-Newcastle-Edinburgh trunk
road.
Anybody in the immediate area ;-) interested in
coordinating/announcing
this and suggesting post event
hostelries ?

I think I would be the best candidate, living in Welwyn GC 3 miles away.
Please, could you send me the stuff - and I think Hatfield's a bit rough
so maybe try WGC for pubs? I dunno.
Any other ideas?

It's entirely possible - I think the event I had planned for that weekend
is avoidable :-)

Woo-hoo! I'll come *if* I can bring my longbow(s). Apparently, you
get the greatest number of points at these affairs if you can bring
down the falcon and pin the jester's bell-encrusted hat to a jouster
with a single bowshot, so this would be a good opportunity to raise
my score... [1]

I know someone living in Hatfield and have had a fair account of the
area... Should I bring the taser and water-cannon or will the kevlar
body-armour and baseball bat be enough? *g*

Ooo... Couldn't coordinate (a p*ss up in a brewery) but would love to
come, assuming prior engagements permit.
Good idea, that Mark... :-)

D**m D**m D**m!!! That's the day I get back from me holiday :-((

<groan> Don't make it worse!
>The event is from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm and
No way I could get back a day early, I suppose. Hmm. Wouldn't be
popular with the other 'girls', but .....

And therefore comparatively 'local' for me. This is gettin' worse.
I was lookin' forward to me holiday 'til you told me about this. :'-(
I'm sure Ponder and '&' will be 'up for it', so count them in - which
makes me feel worse! >:-((
