Anybody else from afp going to be there? Want to get together
before or afterwards? let me know by email, as I may not (i.e.
almost definitely won't) see it posted)

Anyone want to meet afterwards? The Indian place in the food court
directly upstairs from the book store serves decent stuff. That
and there is a hot dog and a hamberger place in the same food court,
which could be important if my husband can't mind the 4 year old.
Takers? Alternative suggestions?

Well, I'll be at the Burlington signing (HOPEFULLY), but I won't be able
to do anything afterwards, as I have to drive 4.5 hours back home after
that.

Depending on how long the queue is, maybe we can all get together and
start doing karaoke routines to occupy ourselves, or get a big group shot
with Pterry?

I've got an alternative suggestion! Anyone want to come to Hanover, NH
(hey, it's only a couple of hours away!), give me a ride to Boston for the
signing/potential meet, and then give me a ride back afterwards? [1]

Please?

Hmmm, food before I drive 2 hours back to the cape [0], seems like a good
plan. The food court sounds fine, there's much to recommend it; close,
easy to find, lots o' choices, and if all else fails they never care if you
sit and eat your own food (I plan on bringing homemade choc. chip cookies
to bribe anyone who tries to stop me from bringing in every pTerry book I
have [1])

I'll bring along my camera with appropriate lenses for any group shot.[2]
But we will all be much better off if I don't sing, although as long as
pTerry and any afpers present bring earplugs along I might be able to drive
away the hapfless hordes and we could have a nice quiet signing :)

[0] If anybody not too far out of the way between the upper cape (Falmouth
area) and Burlington needs a lift just let me know before mid-day saturday.
I plan on driving up following the 495-24-93-95 route. Finger su...@mit.edu

or I don't respond by then).

[1] Perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned that I can just see afpers making a

me make cookies? nope, never happen :)

You know...I just realized something. I have no blooody idea where
Burlington Mall is.

Can someone give me directions to it? B-) I haven' tbeen in Massachussets

SUnderland, MA, but that's all I know. I'm not even sure what the major
roads and all would be..

for some trouble...

Well, it's probably easiest if you're coming via 95/128. I'm not
sure where sunderland is, but I can tell you this much: the mall
is located just north (and I mean just) of where 95/128 meet Rt3.
Coming from the north, it's something like exit 34. I would guess
it's the same from the south, but I'm not betting on it... :-)

That help any?

Sunderland? Are you sure you're in Massachusetts there? Never heard of
that! and oh, the Burlington Mall is in Burlington! Sorry couldn't resist.
Think 128! Think 95! Think Middlesex Turnpike. Burlington is surrounded
by Woburn, Lexington, Bedford, Wilmington, and Billerica (wonder what country
the original settlers were from?) The Mall is near the Lexington/Woburn
side. I'd give better directions if I knew what direction you were
coming from. SUnderland? Must be out in western Mass which makes me ask
why don't you go to signing Monday? in Lanesboro.
Okay out comes atlas, okay - take Mass Pike east to 128 N (Weston)
go thru Waltham, Lexington, then comes Burlington. You want exit 32A/32B -
don't go on 3 but Middlesex Turnpike! You can see Mall - Major parking lot,
has all kinds of stores. Two stories oof them.
Waterstones is near Sears' end, not Filene's end. Pretty small store,
but wide hallway outside. Wonder how many are showing up?
See you there!

Paula

Groan...

Well, I don't *LIVE* in Mass. I actually live in Centreville, VA, but
attend Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. Sunderland is where one of my
friends lives, and he says it's about an hour and a half away from
Burlington. I checked it on a map, and it IS in Western Mass, a little bit
north as well.

I can' tmake the Monday signing, as classe and all limit my free time.

The directions given in this thread have been VERY helpful so far. There
may even be a chance that I might get to Burlington before the end of the
year! ;-)

Sorry. We're awfully privacy-prone here at Syracuse. B'sides, even if we
weren't, a finger on newstand wouldn't do much, it's just the news server.

The time-sharing hosts rodan, mothra, gamera, forbin and hydra. We packed
off kong to its much-deserved fate as a coffee-maker. If you were on one
of those servers, then you could try to finger me.... B-)

blah, no I never could abide nuts (the kind you eat that is, the kind you can
meet have frequently turned out to be my good friends or close relatives :)
and I follow the time honored way of making cookies ie only enough dough [1]
to hold the chips together, so obviously there is no room for nuts

-sue

[1] there has to be some dough or the chocolate would make a huge mess of the
cookie sheet, otherwise I would adopt the method of cookie making where you
eat the dough raw then bake the chocolate [2] :)

[2] warm gooey chocolate mmmmmmmmmm.....

I got my organ donor card signed by Terry Pratchett, how many people can

So it *IS* my organ donor card, he's just the witness to me signing it,

anyone will notice.

He *DID* check it beforehand to make sure he wasn't giving me his organs,

Oh well, maybe I'll will him a lung or a kidney in appreciation if I do
