I just read the FAQ that was posted. Alot of questions were unanswered
but I'm sure that will just take time. It's about time we got a FAQ...
Anyways, I was just quickly reading through it when all of a sudden,
the dude who wrote this starts talking about Poison and their influence
over U2 and their style from Achtung Baby. I start laughing cuz I thought
that this guy is joking, but I think he's serious. The thing that really
gets me howling is when he starts talking about U2 asking CC to play with
them on tour. I almost pissed my pants when he claims that Edge is
a real fan of CC's and highly respects the ex-Poison guitarist.
And what is this shit about CC playing the lead part in Mysterious Ways?!
This can't be true---this has to be a joke right!? CC Deville is only
the WORST guitarist to grace God's earth.--I have never heard of any
musician ever cite CC Deville as an influence. Every time I hear a
Poison song, I cringe at CC's god awful solos and laugh at Bret Micheals
"attempts" to sing MEANINGFUL lyrics. The sound of Bono puking his guts
out would be like angels in heaven in comparison to Micheals. As far as
songs go---I got two words U-N-S-K-I-N-N-Y B-O-P.
Can anyone seriously verify these claims? If they are true, I might
actually lose respect for my fav band. Comments?

Ask him for a source.

Yeah, and Bret Micheals is the bestest. :->

Hey, Unskinny Bop was the anthem of teenagers all over the world. I shudder
what the world would be like without it.

Nope. No comments here. Nada....zip.

Of course the U2-Poison connection was a joke!! Somebody (can't remember the
name right now, but it's in the FAQ) made it up and posted it to Wire (the
official U2 mailing list, which is still dead to my knowledge - please
correct me if I'm wrong!!). Actually I included it just to put something in
the gossip section while it is being reconstructed.

Right now, I am waiting for Wire to reappear so that I can release the new
version of the FAQ. Any help will be welcome.

I love the 'Stay' video, and I can't wait to see the movie when it comes
out. Thanks to U2, I have discovered the great work of Wim Wenders.
