BMX Superstar Pro-biker Dave Mirra to Attempt Record-Breaking Stunt During
Live Telecast Airing on Saturday, April 20 From Santa Monica, CA

Santa Monica, Calif. -- April 2, 2002 -- Double platinum recording artist
Pink will kick off Nickelodeon's 15th Annual Kids' Choice Awards with a
performance of her mega-hit, 'Get The Party Started,' with additional
performances throughout the show by superstar musical group Smash Mouth and
international R&B sensation Usher. The multi-platinum selling artists will
join host Rosie O'Donnell and a star-studded lineup of presenters to perform
their biggest hits to a live audience at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica,
CA and millions of viewers at home on Saturday, April 20 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT
(tape delay PT).

Illustrating the exploding popularity of the Kids' Choice Awards in the
entertainment community, a roster of today's brightest stars from film,
television, music and sports have also signed up to present at this year's
show. Among those scheduled to appear are Matt Damon, Spider Man, Kirsten
Dunst, Mike Myers, Beyonce, The Rock, Dana Carvey, Antonio Banderas,
Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Alba, Apolo Ohno, Frankie Muniz, Tony Hawk,
Melissa Joan Hart, Lil' Bow Wow, Mandy Moore, Lil' Romeo, Nick Cannon,
Amanda Bynes, Jessica Biel, Hilary Duff, Mila Kunis, Alexa Vega and Steve
Irwin.

As testament to this year's show theme of BIGGER!, LOUDER!, MESSIER!, kids
can look forward to a spectacular potentially record-breaking stunt
performed by BMX superstar pro-biker Dave Mirra. Mirra will attempt to break
his own record for a double back flip on a BMX bike by performing the stunt
and landing in a 4000 gallon tank of Nickelodeon's signature green slime.

Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards has emerged as one of the biggest events
in Hollywood, boasting a massive popular vote and sweeping audience
participation. It is the only award show that gives kids the power to vote
for their favorites in movies, television, music, sports and much more - and
honors their opinions with a live show filled with the stars they love.

Kids will be able to vote both on and off air in a total of 20 categories,
including the first-ever 'Favorite Butt Kicker' category. In addition,
surprise awards will be announced during the show. Voting kicks off on March
25 online on Nick.com. Beginning on Monday, April 1, kids can also vote by
calling a toll-free number displayed on the screen during programming on
Nickelodeon through Friday, April 5.

Nickelodeon's 15th Annual Kids' Choice Awards will be seen in more than 120
million households on Nickelodeon's international channels in the U.K.,
Europe, Russia, Asia, Australia, Latin America and Brazil, as well as the
U.S.

Nickelodeon's 15th Annual Kids' Choice Awards is being produced by
Nickelodeon Productions in association with Bob Bain Productions. Albie
Hecht, Bob Bain and Mike Burg are Executive Producers. Burger King and Oscar
Meyer Lunchables are title sponsors and Frito Lay is an associate sponsor.

Nickelodeon, now in its 23rd year, is the number-one entertainment brand for
kids. It has built a diverse, global business by putting kids first in
everything it does. The company includes television programming and
production in the United States and around the world, plus consumer
products, online, recreation, books, magazines, music and feature films.
Nickelodeon's U.S. television network is seen in more than 85 million
households and has been the number-one-rated basic-cable network for more
than six consecutive years. Nickelodeon and all related titles, characters
and logos are trademarks of Viacom International Inc.

Why is that song the official anthem of music awards shows all of a sudden? I
know Nick has played Pink's video before, but I wouldn't think she would want
to be on Nickelodeon...

!!!

>Beyonce

Poor the rest of Destiny's Child...

>The Rock

Didn't Nick get in trouble with the PTC over inviting wrestlers?

>Jennifer Love Hewitt

Because her career is all fine and dandy.

>Hilary Duff
>Amanda Bynes

...DEATHMATCH!!!

It'll be so tragic if he were to be killed on children's television. I'm sure
he practiced this hundreds of times and Nick's got paramedics on board, tho.

Lemme guess. Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Sarah Michelle Gellar,
and...whoever else kicks butt.

There was a time when you could tell who the winners would be by
looking at the list of presenters, as the losers didn't bother to show
up (and this isn't like the Oscars or Emmys - the winners know in
advance). However, this year, as an example, the only "Favorite
Television Actress" NOT scheduled to be there is Jennifer Aniston.

And there must be a mistake...it lists Alexa Vega by name rather than
referring to her as just "one of the Spy Kids"; I suppose next they'll
be including an actual "non-celebtiry" voiceover performer

My guess? Duff will present, either Bynes or Hart will win, the other
will either be slimed or receive a surprise award of some design.
Hart deserves the Hall of Fame by now, I'd wager.
