I made a Photo Album VCD with WinonCD 3.8
I transformed my original Kodak Photo CD (PCD) images to JPG files.
( I want to view the slideshow with my DVD player with sound)
There are no problems when I view the slideshow on my PC.
The images on the TV screen are very good but I notice a flickering image at
certain areas of the picture. (areas with sharp horizontal or near
horizontal structures).
I tried it on another TV with the same result. (it is more visible if
connected via S-Video
then via Composite video cable).
This issue is not visible if I use my Kodak Photo CD player (via S-Video
cable connected)
and the same image.
Is there something I can do during the transformation of the images to avoid
this issue?
I tried also Nero 5.xx with the same result.
TIA

Jean-Pierre,

This is a well known problem in video that is caused by "interlacing", the
two alternating vertically displaced images that make up one frame of a
video image.

The solution is to give up some of your vertical resolution.

One way to accomplish this is to use your image editing program to resize
the images that have this problem to 25 to 50 percent smaller in the
vertical direction only, then resize back to the original size again.

If you are using PhotoShop you can use a mask to limit the change to only
the areas that are affected, and keep full detail in the rest of the image.
