Every member of the band was great in their own right, and they all
both played and sang. Jazz fans will take particular interest in her
keyboard player, Rose Ann Kirsch. She's got chops for days, very
strong jazz roots, but she always manages to surprise you by throwing
in some unusual stuff and making it fit perfectly.
On the way over there, I stopped at a record store to get some of her
music. The only CD they had was "Glamorous Life," so I got that. I
enjoyed the music + it took me back to the early 80s Prince sound. But
at the gig, she did all new music + some classics--nothing from the CD
I had bought.
At the end, she called me up for Stevie Wonder's "Don't You Worry
'Bout a Thing." I had a really great time.
What a great performer and musician (plus she looks great :-)). She
has really continued to grow and evolve through the years. She
finishes tonight 2002/03/30.
After the gig, I listened to the old CD again. It sure doesn't sound
like her today! I'm going out to get her latest.

I lost touch with Stanly's music after 'Rocks, pebbles etc.'.
The website has some useful and interesting links, and (even though I'm very
sceptical about the scientific basis of NLP, as articulated by Bandler and
Grinder) I didn't know ablout the use of NLP in music therapy.
