P.S. Sorry about the spelling.
It's got Jack, Kathleen Turner, a fantastic script by Richard Condon
(has he written any screenplays since Prizzi? I know he also wrote
"The Manchurian Candidate". Any other screen credits for him?). What
more can you ask for?

It doesn't matter if they've been done before -- subscribers change all the
time and people even change their opinion. Just be aware, however, that there
a few snobs out there who feel they have sole ownership of the group and that
such things are beneath them and outside the group charter. They get nasty
every once in awhile. Just give 'em a smile and a "have a nice day."
BEST MOVIE? Wow -- how can I answer that one?
All I can really say is that my personal favorite movie of all time is 2001.
STAR WARS is close.

Well, for me (and this is probably no big surprise to some)
my all-time favorite is "Raiders of the Lost Ark" - it was just one of
those movies that got me totally absorbed. I don't see movies for
flaws, or for any particular reason - EXCEPT I feel if the movie
gets me so absorbed to forget about reality for awhile, it works
for me. By this definition, I'd have to say my faves are the
total Indy movies (and in order of release as well, AAMOF), the
original Gremlins, Poltergeist, etc...

Mine is Gorky Park starring Lee Marvin, William Hurt and Brian Dennehy.

Finger me for information on getting laserdisc review articles.
OK ... that caught my attention and I just couldn't resist the "F" key.
My favorite film is 2001 also. But Star Wars would be my "most entertaining"
film, but not my favorite.
They're really so different, I find it hard to put them on the same
list. 2001 was such a piece of art ... an amazing melange of cinematography,
scoring, composition, all so artistically combined in a truly disturbing
and introspective film. SW, by contrast is so blatant, transparent,
and terribly good fun. Also great filmmaking, but of a different kind.
Star Wars was just a great spectacle to consume. 2001, though, made
me think about the nature of humanity itself, and the transforming
effects of technology on our race.

Right now, I would have to list my current favorite (it
keeps on changing, but the changes are cyclical, and quite
consistent!).
"Odd Man Out"
No! "The Third Man".
Shit. I can't decide. Both of them. Arrgh!
Someone else decide for me! :-)
- Simon
Ok, "Odd Man Out".
Why? Because I haven't seen either, and I don't care either way :)

Um... I know it's alot to ask, but could you nerow it down to just one movie.
If you simply can't I understand. It's hard. Maby you could just pick one at
random to be the one that I add to the list for the results.
