I first caught this from TheRegister a while back (only a few months
ago); someone there wrote in after the link was posted mentioning that
it was a spoof troll, originally written in a newsgroup a few years
back.
I just wonder how many people believe it, though!

Congratulations, 'sir', you have now proven yourself to be exactly the kind

I'll take that compliment!

nb: you run *nix systems, do you not Sir? I've just formatted some man
pages for BOFH usage. Care to sample?

Unfortunately, I seem to have toasted my *nix box for the moment
(doh..) so I'll pass up on it for now.
Cheers

It's a joke. It almost has to be, doesn't it? I mean, no one,
outside of card-carrying members of fanatical religious cults, is that
mind-numbingly ignorant or deluded. Quake as a hacker training
ground? "Lunix" as a hacker operating system that will physically
damage your computer during a removal attempt? Bonzi Buddy as l33t
h@xorz app? The smell of wet troll fur is overwhelming. The fact
that it appeared on some moralizing parental site just makes it all
the more amusing.
I think I'll do a little DOSing, now...

The main difference here is that these lawsuits are actually real.
Terribly sad, but certainly reaffirming that justice is not only
blind, but often deaf and stupid, too.
