The MFS root floppy boot hangs every time with the message about waiting
15 seconds for the SCSI devices to settle. This is immediately after it
finds the pcic2 ISA-PCCard adapter I've got. I've also got an
AHA-2940UW and a (possibly Adaptec) SCSI adapter for my scanner. No IDE
or USB devices (controllers disabled). (list below)
I'm guess it is trying to scan a PCMCIA SCSI adapter, which isn't there
(I've only got CF cards).
Any way to turn this behavior off?
Or could it be something else. I still haven't figured out if the HW
scan is picking up the SCSI controllers that are there, since it scrolls
by too fast.
Thanks,
-Jed
